ABS resin is a thermoplastic resin made using a trio of organic compounds : acrylonitrile, butadiene and styrene. The “ABS” prefix refers to their initial letters.

- Allows post-processing like cutting and welding.
Downsides
- Poor weather resistance.
- Soluble in organic solvents.
- Flammable.
